Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 28, 2026 · Effective: March 28, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Logic Fusion, LLC ("Logic Fusion," "Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects information in connection with the MacWarden desktop application for macOS ("App" or "Software") and the website located at https://www.macwarden.com("Website") (collectively, the "Services").

By downloading, installing, or using the App, or by visiting the Website, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, please do not use our Services.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. MacWarden is designed with a privacy-first architecture: all file scanning, system analysis, and privacy trace detection occurs entirely on your local device. No scanned data, file contents, file names, directory structures, or system diagnostics are ever transmitted to our servers or any third party.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Email Address: Collected when you create an account, purchase a license, start a trial, or contact us. Used for license key delivery, account management, transactional communications, and customer support.
  • Payment Information: When you purchase a subscription or trial, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full credit card number, CVV, or banking details on our servers. Stripe may collect and store payment instrument details in accordance with its own privacy policy.
  • Contact Information: If you contact us via email or a contact form, we collect the information you voluntarily provide, including your name, email address, and message content.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Hardware Identifier: During license activation, the App generates a unique hardware identifier derived from your Mac's hardware properties using IOKit. This identifier is a one-way SHA-256 hash and cannot be used to determine your specific hardware configuration. It is used solely for license activation and to prevent unauthorized use of license keys across multiple devices.
  • License and Account Data: We store your email address, license key, subscription status, activation status, and hardware identifier hash in our database (hosted on Supabase) for the purpose of managing your license and account.

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be explicitly clear about what we do not collect:

  • We do not collect, transmit, or store any files, file names, file contents, or directory structures from your Mac.
  • We do not collect browsing history, cookies, browser cache data, or any privacy traces detected by the App.
  • We do not collect system performance data, CPU usage, RAM usage, disk usage, battery information, or running process information.
  • We do not collect information about installed applications, uninstalled applications, or application data.
  • We do not collect results of security or privacy scans.
  • We do not collect duplicate file or similar photo detection results.
  • We do not use any analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or usage tracking of any kind.
  • We do not embed any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking pixels in the App.
  • We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information to any third party, for any purpose, under any circumstances.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited information we collect for the following purposes:

  • License Management: To issue, activate, validate, and manage your software license.
  • Transactional Communications: To send you license keys, purchase confirmations, subscription renewal notices, and other essential communications related to your account. These emails are sent via Resend.
  • Payment Processing: To process your subscription payments and manage your billing through Stripe.
  • Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries and provide technical assistance.
  • Fraud Prevention: To detect and prevent license fraud and unauthorized use.
  • Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.

4. Local Data Processing and On-Device Operations

MacWarden performs all of its core functionality entirely on your local device. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Scanning for junk files, caches, logs, and old downloads
  • Security and privacy threat scanning
  • Privacy trace detection (browser history, cookies, cached data)
  • System performance monitoring (CPU, RAM, disk, battery, processes)
  • Application management (uninstalling, updating, resetting applications)
  • Storage analysis and treemap visualization
  • Duplicate file and similar photo detection

All scan results, detected files, system metrics, and analysis data remain on your device and are never transmitted to Logic Fusion servers or any third party. The only network communications initiated by the App are license activation and validation API calls, which transmit only your hardware identifier hash and license key.

5. System File and Directory Access

To perform its intended functions, MacWarden requires access to various system files, directories, and processes on your Mac. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • User library directories (~/Library/) including caches, logs, application support folders, and preferences
  • System-level temporary and cache directories
  • Application bundles and associated data directories
  • File metadata (names, sizes, dates, paths) for storage analysis and duplicate detection
  • Running process information for system performance monitoring
  • Browser data directories for privacy trace detection
  • Disk volume information for storage analysis

This access is used exclusively for providing the App's functionality to you. No accessed data is collected, transmitted, or stored by Logic Fusion. You may revoke file system permissions at any time through macOS System Settings, though doing so may limit the App's functionality.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following third-party service providers to operate our Services:

6.1 Stripe, Inc.

Stripe processes all payments for MacWarden subscriptions and trials. When you make a purchase, your payment information is collected and processed directly by Stripe. We receive only a confirmation of payment, a truncated card identifier, and transaction metadata. Stripe's privacy policy is available at https://stripe.com/privacy.

6.2 Supabase, Inc.

Supabase provides the database infrastructure for storing license and account information (email, license key, hardware ID hash, subscription status). Supabase's privacy policy is available at https://supabase.com/privacy.

6.3 Resend, Inc.

Resend handles the delivery of transactional emails, including license key delivery and purchase confirmations. Resend processes your email address for the sole purpose of delivering these communications. Resend's privacy policy is available at https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.

We do not share your information with any third parties other than those listed above, and only to the extent necessary to provide the Services. We do not use any advertising networks, analytics providers, or data brokers.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and license information (email address, license key, hardware identifier hash, and subscription status) for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your account information for a reasonable period to facilitate reactivation and to comply with legal obligations.

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at payments@logicfusion.net. Upon receiving a verified deletion request, we will delete your personal data from our active systems within thirty (30) days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, dispute resolution).

Stripe may retain payment-related data in accordance with its own data retention policies and applicable financial regulations.

8. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the limited personal information we collect. These measures include, but are not limited to:

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL
  • Encryption of data at rest in our database
  • One-way hashing of hardware identifiers (SHA-256) so that the original hardware information cannot be reconstructed
  • Access controls limiting personnel access to personal data
  • Use of reputable, security-audited third-party infrastructure providers

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially reasonable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. You acknowledge and accept this inherent risk.

9. Your Rights Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent legislation. Logic Fusion, LLC serves as the data controller for the personal data described in this Policy.

9.1 Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a Contract: Processing your email, payment data, and hardware ID hash is necessary to perform our contract with you (i.e., to provide the App and manage your license).
  • Legitimate Interests: We process certain data for fraud prevention and to protect the security of our Services, where such processing does not override your fundamental rights.
  • Legal Obligation: We may process data to comply with applicable legal requirements.

9.2 Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restriction: Request restriction of processing of your personal data.
  • Data Portability: Request a machine-readable copy of data you have provided to us.
  • Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw that consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at payments@logicfusion.net. We will respond to your request within thirty (30) days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9.3 International Data Transfers

Your personal data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where Logic Fusion, LLC is based. By using the Services, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred outside the EEA. We rely on standard contractual clauses and other lawful transfer mechanisms to ensure adequate protection of your data.

10. Your Rights Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act) provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information.

11. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to individuals under the age of sixteen (16). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 16, please contact us at payments@logicfusion.net.

12. Do Not Track Signals

The App does not track users across third-party websites or services, and the Website does not use cookies for tracking purposes. Because we do not engage in tracking, we do not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals, as there is no tracking to disable.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update or modify this Policy at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where practical, provide notice via the App or email. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
